Have you ever wondered how to grow your faith in God ?
Have you ever wondered how to grow in faith stronger in God? I am grateful for my personal relationship with Jesus Christ, but I often wonder if my faith is strong enough. So I decided to go into the topic of how to increase your faith in God. Come along and dig deep with me as well.
1. What is faith ?
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 KJV
Faith is defined as “belief in God or religious doctrines or teachings.” We can believe in God, but the evidence is in what he does. How did we end up here? Who made man and the universe? That’s a serious subject, I know. It’s certainly a different direction than I had hoped to take. So let us concentrate on faith!
You can’t see or feel him, but you know he’s there. That is the strength of faith! We can find evidence of God everywhere we look. But how do you strengthen your faith in God? You must first believe that he is and ask Jesus into your heart. Because you can’t grow your faith unless you have a personal relationship with Jesus.
2. How to grow your faith in God
A relationship with God is the first step in learning how to grow in faith in God.You must first accept Jesus Christ as your Savior before you can do so. This is also referred to as being saved or being born again.
3. Grow in faith Through Hearing the Word
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17, NKJV).
If you really want to grow in faith, you must first hear, which means feeding yourself with God’s Word. When you hear God’s Word, you are changed. It has an impact on your view of the world and changes the way you think. Is this referring to brainwashing? Yes, if brainwashing means washing your mind with God’s Word!
We want to see things as God sees them and think as He thinks. The good news is that God’s thoughts are documented in an entire book: the Bible. Open your Bible and begin reading. Get an audio recording of the Bible and listen to it while you sleep, get ready in the morning, or drive in your car. Get audio and video teaching from Bible teachers you can trust.
4. Grow in faith by Believing the Word
Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”
It is one thing to hear the Word…it is quite another to believe it. For years, you may have heard that Jesus is Lord. You may have grown up in a Christian home and been taught that since you were old enough to understand what your parents said. But something interesting happened the day you believed it. Everything shifted. “The old has died, and everything has become new.”
5. Grow in faith by hearing the word of God
You became a Christian as a result of hearing and believing God’s Word.
That applies to every aspect of your Christian life. Don’t be afraid to believe God’s Word when you read it. It doesn’t matter how you feel about it if God said it. It makes no difference what you’ve heard that contradicts it if God said it.
Everything else pales in comparison to God’s Word. You may be experiencing health issues. You might feel ill. You may have attended a church where it is stated that God does not heal today.
What does the Bible say? It reads:“I am the Lord who heals you”
(Exodus 15:26).“By his wounds you are healed” (1 Peter 2:24).“[Jesus] healed all the sick among them”
(Matthew 12:15).If God’s Word says it, the matter is settled. It’s time to believe it.Grow by Reading God’s Word
6. Grow in faith by Reading God’s Word
“But I’m still sick!” you might say.
Once you’ve heard God’s Word and decided to believe it, you must also decide to act on it. Hold on to the truth and never let it go.
Taking it entails putting God’s Word in front of your eyes and keeping it in front of your eyes. Speak that truth every day. When you want to be healed, search God’s Word for verse after verse after verse about how God wants to heal you. Emphasize those verses.
You should print them out. Tape them to your bathroom mirror. Make them your smartphone’s home screen. Use them on a daily basis.
When you take God’s Word seriously, the world may try to pull you away from it, but you will not let go! Read it, believe it, take it, and never let it go, no matter what life throws at you!
7. Grow in faith by putting God’s Word into practice
Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead…. Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works” (James 2:17-18, NKJV).
It’s one thing to read, believe, and grasp something. It’s one thing to act as if you believe it.
When you know that God has healed you—because He is a loving God—time it’s to act like it. When you wake up in the morning, thank God for your healing. You might feel sick, or you might not want to move a muscle. However, don’t let your emotions prevent you from acting on God’s Word.
You might not be able to do much right now because it takes time to bring the natural into alignment with the supernatural.
If someone says to you, “You look sick,” tell them, “No, I’m doing great because I’m healed by His stripes!”
When you act on His Word, you are allowing faith to grow in you, settle in you, and become a part of you.
