YOU ARE CHOSEN
we are all fearfully and wonderfully made. No amount of money can define your worth. It is what is inside you that defines who you are.
CHARACTER is what you are; REPUTATION is what people think you are.
Character is what God knows about you; Reputation is what men say about you.
Men look at the outward; God looks at the inward (your heart).
“We are a chosen generation, called forth to show His excellence ” Remember you are Holy, you are Righteous, You are so Rich, You are BEAUTIFUL!!
YOU ARE CLOTHED WITH CHRIST
If God clothes the grassy fields with a rainbow of splendor, (which blooms one day and then shrivels in the sun), how much more are we, as His children clothed with His spiritual splendor and strength
We are clothed in his beauty that will never wilt.
We are clothed in his strength that will never fail.
We are clothed in his power that will never diminish.
We are clothed with Christ himself (Romans 13:14).
That means we are forever wrapped in his loving arms of grace. He will never leave us naked or shivering with shame. He clothes us with worth, value and honor.
When next time you see a bouquet of flowers, remember that you are worth more than its beauty and splendor.
YOU ARE VALUABLE
- You are valuable BECAUSE OF WHO YOU ARE.You are made in God’s image, according to His likeness (Genesis 1:26). A long time ago, even before God created you and before He created this universe, you were the focus of His love.
You are valuable BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU COST. As one loved by God, you have also been chosen by God for “adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself” (Ephesians 1:5). This adoption came at a high price, the death of His Son.
You are valuable BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU CAN BECOME. Person who is loved by God and adopted into His family, you can be sure that God has a plan for your life.
“My value fixed — my ransom paid
At the cross.
I rejoice in my Redeemer,
Greatest Treasure,
Wellspring of my soul.
I will trust in him, no other.”
YOU WERE MADE FOR SOMETHING BETTER
Find values in things that last ,values that can change your life.
1.SHOW LOVE
“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” – Romans 12:9-10 (NIV)
Love for God and love for others holds the power to transform a person’s existence.
2.FIND JOY IN THE CHAOS
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” – Philippians 4:4 (NIV)
Paul tells us that one of the most important Judeo Christian values is “joy” — something that Merriam-Webster defines as “the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires.”
Joy comes from having faith in God, even as chaos and difficulties rage. Jesus alone is enough.
3.SEEK PEACE
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” – Colossians 3:15 (NIV)
The Holy Spirit holds the ability to usher in peace in a person’s heart.
4.BE PATIENT
“You say, ‘I choose the appointed time; it is I who judge with equity.'” – Psalm 75:2 (NIV)
Forbearance is being in control of oneself and having patience when provoked is important.
With Jesus forbearance and patience are absolutely attainable.
5.BE KIND
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” – Colossians 3:12 (NIV)
In a culture that emphasizes self, it’s easy to lose sight of kindness.Along with loving others comes caring for them and being compassionate.
6.BE GOOD
“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” – Matthew 26:41
Goodness is changes both the person expressing it as well as the people he or she interacts with.
7.LIVE FAITHFULLY
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.” – Deuteronomy 7:9 (NIV)
Trusting and loving God — and living out that commitment — helps to ensure one is embracing and exhibiting Christian principles to their fullest because of love.
8.BE GENTLE
“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” – 1 Peter 3:15
In a rough and tumble culture that often values fierce and selfish responses, being gentle
is evidence of Christ living in a person’s heart.
9.HAVE SELF CONTROL
“Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.” – Proverbs 16:32 (NIV)
The premise of reliance upon God is that His will and plan matters.
YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST IS EVERYTHING
It’s who you really are.
If you follow Jesus, your identity in Christ supersedes everything else you may think about yourself. Good or bad.
You’ve been set apart for a greater purpose.
YOU ARE ;
LOVED
ACCEPTED
VALUABLE
CHOSEN
PRECIOUS.
“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand-
when I awake, I am still with you.”PSALM 139:13-18
